How to use Chalk Paint™ Brushes:

1. Prepare the brush – lightly dampen the bristles before first use
2. Load the brush – dip 1/3 of the bristles into the paint
3. Apply with expressive brushstrokes – let the brush marks be visible
4. Work in the direction of the grain – or in multiple directions for a vintage effect
5. Don't overload – the bristles hold a lot of paint
6. Apply 2-3 coats – for optimal coverage

Cleaning and care:

1. Clean immediately – after each use
2. Use warm, soapy water – for water-based Chalk Paint™
3. Rinse well – until the water runs clear
4. Reshape the bristles – with your fingers while they are damp
5. Dry horizontally – or hung with the bristles facing down
6. Never leave it in water – it will damage the bristles and the handle

We are in the process of changing the materials used in our brushes. During this transition, you may receive brushes with either synthetic or natural bristles, depending on the size you order. For the time being, please note that the materials may vary depending on the brush size.

For an authentic vintage finish: Do not attempt to remove brush marks, they are part of the charm of the Chalk Paint™ finish.

For maximum durability: Never leave the brush resting on its bristles while you work.

For best results: Use the largest brush that is practical for your project.
