Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, residue or oil-based contaminants. We recommend cleaning with a water-based detergent (such as sugar soap) for optimal preparation.

Important for metal surfaces: Apply a specialist metal primer before the satin paint for the best results.

Apply directly to the prepared surface with an Annie Sloan brush or roller. There is no need to sand or apply wax or varnish afterwards. The satin finish provides protection and durability on its own.

Chicago Grey combines perfectly with:

• Pure whites such as Pure White for crisp contrast
• Warm whites such as Old White for soft colour schemes
• Blues such as Aubusson Blue for monochromatic palettes
• Yellows such as Carnaby Yellow for pops of colour
