Original - Satin Paint Annie Sloan 750ml decorative paint

Original - Annie Sloan Satin Paint

Original is the warmest white in the Annie Sloan range. This creamy, welcoming white works especially well with Carnaby Yellow or Old Ochre, making it perfect for north-facing rooms or spaces with little natural light where it adds much-needed extra warmth.

Ideal uses:

• Low-light rooms - Adds extra warmth
• North-facing spaces - Balances cool light
• Welcoming furniture - Warm creamy white
• Cupboards and kitchens - Warm brightness
• Interior doors - Creates welcoming spaces
• Skirting boards and mouldings - Characterful creamy white

The warmest white:

Original is exceptional because it is:

• Creamy white - The warmest in the range
• Welcoming - Adds instant warmth
• Perfect for low light - Balances dark spaces
• Ideal for north-facing rooms - Counteracts cool light
• Extra warmth - Transforms cold spaces

Annie Sloan Satin Paint features:

• Elegant satin finish - 10% sheen for a sophisticated look
• No wax or varnish required - Complete finish in one step
• Washable and durable - Easy to clean for high-use areas
• Quick-drying - Continue your project without long waits
• Low VOC - Water-based formula that is kinder to the environment
• Certified safe - Approved for toys and rated A+ for EU indoor air quality

Coverage:

One 750 ml tin covers approximately 11 m², enough to transform several pieces of furniture or an entire room of mouldings and frames.

Surface preparation:

Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, residue, or oil-based contaminants. We recommend cleaning with a water-based detergent (such as sugar soap) for optimal preparation.

Important for metal surfaces: Apply a specialist metal primer before the Satin Paint for the best results.

Application:

Apply directly to the prepared surface with an Annie Sloan brush or roller. There is no need to sand or apply wax or varnish afterwards. The satin finish provides protection and durability on its own.

Perfect combinations:

Original works especially well with:

• Carnaby Yellow - Warm and vibrant schemes
• Old Ochre - Welcoming earthy palettes
• Warm greys such as French Linen for soft schemes
• Greens such as Cotswold Green for natural combinations
• Soft blues for fresh contrast

When to use Original:

Original is the perfect choice when:

• You have north-facing rooms
• There is little natural light in the space
• You want a welcoming white instead of a cold one
• You need to add extra warmth
• You are looking for a creamy white with character

Style and atmosphere:

Original brings welcoming warmth and creamy brightness to any space. Its warm white tone is perfect for creating interiors that need to compensate for a lack of natural light or a north-facing orientation, transforming cold spaces into welcoming environments.

Difference between Satin Paint and Chalk Paint™:

While Chalk Paint™ is ideal for furniture, floors, exteriors, and decorative effects, Satin Paint is specifically formulated for interior wood and metal, offering a durable satin finish without the need for additional sealing.
